I practiced as a Radiologist at Mulago Hospital; I was inspired by the training experiences at ULM University of Germany and AIIMS University of India with high caliber technology and excellent diagnostic capacity in the Radiology sector.
I noted the deficiencies in technologies for Radiology diagnostic in Uganda and the sub region.
A technical team of 6 Radiologists came together to start and run Kampala Imaging Centre the partnership, which transformed into Kampala Imaging Centre Ltd.
Kampala Imaging Centre Ltd started with humble equipment e.g plain radiography and ultrasound machines, and then progressed to mammography and Analog fluoroscopy which later transformed to digital fluoroscopy, to CT scan and MRI Scan.
Kampala Imaging Centre Ltd started with one Branch and has now progressed to four branches over the last 25 years of service.
The high level technologies have been deployed ,over the last 25 years, to provide high quality diagnostic services, not only to Ugandans but to a large population of the people in the sub regions namely,Kenya,Tanzania,Rwanda,Burundi,DRC,South sudan and Somalia.
The provision of Quality diagnostic services has greatly and positively impacted the quality of health care delivery in Uganda and in the sub region as well as impacting the health status of the people.
The achievements of Kampala Imaging Centre Ltd are based on the focus of the vision, Mission and strategic plan of the company as well as the core values.
Kampala Imaging Centre Ltd looks forward to achieving even better quality diagnostic service delivery in the future to come.
